The queen of celebrity ‘crowns’ brings her mane talent to Miami

For most people, launching a new business — particularly a beauty salon, amid a pandemic would seem like a bad idea. Not for hair guru and Marie Robinson, a renowned New York stylist with a client roster as exclusive as the MET gala invite list. Last December, Robinson expanded her beauty empire by taking her talents south and opening up her eponymous location at Aventura Mall, which was looking to add an high-end hair styling space to its list of retail brands.

Currently splitting her time between New York City’s flagship salon and the Magic City, Robinson says the choice to head to South Florida was a no-brainer. “We had some great colorists and stylists who wanted to relocate.
