LAWTON, Okla. (TNN) – Lawton police are investigating a shooting that took place Tuesday evening.

The shooting happened shortly before 5 p.m. in the parking lot of the 82nd Street shopping center.

The shooting happened shortly before 5 p.m. in the parking lot of the 82nd Street shopping center.
Police say a 16-year-old was shot in the back and has been taken to the hospital for treatment. His condition is unknown at this time.
Police are now searching for the person behind the shooting.
