Simple Steps to Build Deeper Community (with Shannan Martin)

I cherished this week’s podcast discussion with Shannan Martin on the topic of developing connection in our communities. My favorite quote of the complete episode was, “The only thing you will need to apply hospitality is a glass of drinking water.” That means: opening up your door and providing a glass of h2o is actually all it usually takes. (Or, assembly on the again porch, or at the park, or at a coffee shop — as we talk about in this episode.)

If you have to have some inspiration for basic ways you can make deeper interactions or are scared of placing you out there and inviting people today and then acquiring turned down or damage, you will not want to overlook this episode. Shannan’s insights and honesty — as an introvert who is not the natural way wired for hospitality — motivated me so a great deal.
