Earth Day is Friday, April 22. The day is dedicated to supporting environmental protection. Many fashion and home brands have adopted more sustainable business practices and Earth-friendly production.

Whether it is making clothing out of recyclable materials or offering more eco-friendly delivery options, clothing manufactures are eager to promote Earth Day. Here are some of the most sustainable clothing and home brands to shop.

According to statistics provided by Everlane, 97% of its apparel materials containing polyester and nylon are made from certified recycled fibers. “That material is made from recycling plastic water bottles, fishing nets, fabric excess from cutting patterns, and other items otherwise destined for the waste stream,” the site reads.

We’re #2.” The brand says it uses “low-impact materials, rescued deadstock fabrics and repurposed vintage clothing” to create its products. Leesa Sleep’s Legend mattresses are made with organic cotton and recycled polyester. The official description of the product is: “a sustainable mattress cover, with 100% organic cotton, Merino wool to wick away moisture and fiber from recycled water bottles.”

The mattress company Avocado Mattress is described as the world’s first mattress brand to be Climate Neutral Certified. The company prides itself on its “net-zero carbon emissions from our farms to our factory (powered 100% by renewable energy).” Some of the best-selling products include the Avocado Green Mattress; the Eco Organic Mattress; and the Organic Luxury Mattress.

Amazon has a line of more sustainable products in its collection Amazon Aware. Nike has put forth a “Move to Zero” initiative for its apparel, which vows to move Nike’s carbon footprint to virtually nothing. Nike also offers No Rush Shipping, which opts for ground-only shipping. This is considered a “less carbon-intensive” option compared to air freight.
