With other women in mind, a North Carolina native decided to open a beauty bar where women and mothers could be beautified and comfortable.
Nyoshi LaShae opened Bunny’s Beauty and Butter Bar, located at 6460 YadkinRoad, Suite A, June 2020. It offers a variety of beauty products and services—from moisturizers to body washes and esthetician services to teeth whitening.

“I want to do a full-service shop where women can come in and get everything they need in one shop,” LaShae said. “They get their nails done, their teeth whitened, waxing, contouring, microshading. ”
The beauty bar offers products including whipped shea butter, facial cleanses, body scrubs and oils. .

For those looking to unwind, Bunny’s Butter and Beauty Bar hosts Whine Down Wednesdays on the third Wednesday of each month.
“Men can go to the sports bar and do their thing, so it’s like why not have a spot where women can come in and we’ll have wine, refreshments and we can just sit and whine to each other, we wind down,” LaShae said. “It’s something we can do because we’re all mothers, so we need that time to ourselves and that ‘me’ time. It’s not always about coming into a spot and spending money, that’s not what we’re about. Essentially, that’s not where we fully focus on thingsWe really want it to be like a safe place.”
The beauty bar has an esthetician, a nail technician, and a teeth whitening engineer on staff. LaShae offers microshading and body contouring. To book an appointment with one of the employees, LaShae said the best way is through one of their Instagram accounts. Their contact information can be found on the shop’s Facebook page.
The shop operates by appointment only during the week except Wednesdays when walk-ins are welcome 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Monday when the shop is closed. Saturday and Sunday walk-ins are also welcome noon to 6 p.m.
When opening her shop, LaShae said she had other women entrepreneurs in mind.
“I’ve seen a bunch of women that were in the same spot when I wanted to startmy business to get on my feet,” she said. “They didn’t know like where to start or wanting to be in a spot where they were comfortable; they wanted to be in their own space, a good space.”
