TEEN MOM star Ashley Jones is preparing to open her new beauty salon and she gave fans a sneak peek at the location.

The MTV star, 24, shared a video from inside her business, Aries Beauty Studio, in a since-deleted Instagram post.

‘COMING TOGETHER’

Per a Reddit post containing the original post, Ashley said the studio is a work in progress but “it’s coming together so nicely.”

The video showed a seating area, black and gold accents, yet unstocked shelving, and a brief glimpse at other parts of the salon.

Although Ashley deleted her Instagram post about the salon, she shared an Instagram Story from inside the salon joking that she’s “Always at @AriesBeautyStudio.”

The salon is known for its augmented-reality app, which let me experiment with different hairstyles and colors through a screen before I chose the look I wanted.

First off, I virtually dyed my hair pink. I was impressed at how real it looked around my roots.

Then I went for platinum blonde — this looked less natural around my face.

There was also the option for an ombré look. This was less subtle and hard to see in the screen because of the reflection.

Finally, I tried purple but decided to stick with my natural color. I was too nervous about how different the actual dye would look compared with the color on the AR app.

Police warn of Avalon Park barbershop, beauty salon burglaries

Police are warning business owners of a string of recent burglaries reported at barbershops and beauty salons in Avalon Park on the South Side.

In each incident, a man pried open a door to the closed businesses, Chicago police said. Once inside, the man took televisions and salon equipment, police said.

The incidents happened:

  • Between 8:30 p.m. July 16 and 7:45 a.m. July 17 in the 8500 block of Stony Island;
  • Between 3 p.m. July 24 and 8 a.m. July 25 in the 1400 block of East 87th Street;
  • About 3:45 a.m. July 25 in the 1600 block of East 86th Street;
  • Between 1 p.m. July 28 and 6 a.m. July 29 in the 8300 block of South Stony Island;
  • Between 12 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. July 31 in the 2700 block of East 79th Street;

Columbus Ga. (WRBL) – A White House initiative has vaccination sites popping up at barbershops and beauty salons.

“Everybody who’s ever been to a barbershop or a beauty salon knows you get fact checked in a barbershop and beauty salon,” says Cameron Webb, Senior Policy Advisor to the White House for equity on the COVID-19 response team.

“Part of what we’ve done through this initiative is you know all of the barbers and stylists they’ve gone through training to learn more about the virus and the vaccine how it works and what some of the myths are,” says Webb.
